Keiser holds institutional accreditation from SACSCOC, and CCNE accredits its master's and DNP nursing programs, with current terms running to June 30, 2028 and June 30, 2033. ACEN accredits the ASN division by division. Keiser's BSN is described in different words on different Keiser pages, so check Keiser's current accreditation listing for that program.

Accreditation at a glance
Accreditation at Keiser works in layers. SACSCOC reviews the university as a whole and the levels of degree it may award. Separate nursing accreditors look at individual programs: CCNE for the graduate nursing degrees, ACEN for the associate degree, and COA for nurse anesthesia. State approval to place students is a third, separate question, covered further down.

SACSCOC: accreditation for the whole university
Keiser's Graduate Catalog states that SACSCOC accredits Keiser University to award associate, bachelor's, master's, education specialist and doctoral degrees. SACSCOC's own institution record lists Keiser as accredited at Degree Level VI, as a private not-for-profit institution, with candidacy from January 1, 1989 and accreditation granted January 1, 1991. The catalog dates Keiser's move to Level VI to 2012.
For online graduate students, one date on the record stands out: SACSCOC approved Keiser for distance education on November 21, 2000. The last reaffirmation took place in 2017. The record lists a 2026 Off-Site Review and a 2027 Reaffirmation Committee as in progress, with the next reaffirmation in 2027 and a fifth-year review in 2033.
The catalog also describes how Keiser is governed: a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation incorporated in Florida and controlled by the Board of Trustees of Everglades College, Inc.
CCNE: the MSN tracks and the DNP
CCNE's directory for Florida carries two Keiser entries. The master's entry covers the MSN and its tracks, which include the Family Nurse Practitioner and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner programs, and the Graduate Catalog separately describes the MSN FNP as CCNE-accredited. The second entry is the post-master's Doctor of Nursing Practice.

The master's program's last on-site evaluation was in November 2017 and the DNP's in September 2022. CCNE lists no post-graduate APRN certificate for Keiser, which matches the 2026-27 catalogs: they offer no post-master's NP certificate. ACEN: the Associate of Science in Nursing
Keiser organizes its prelicensure nursing into four divisions, each built around a hub campus, and ACEN keeps a separate record for each accredited division. The ACEN pages below were last updated July 31, 2026, and each shows the ASN as accredited.

Keiser's own campus-to-division list groups the ASN campuses this way: Clearwater and New Port Richey under the West Division; Daytona, Jacksonville, Orlando and Tallahassee under North Central, based in Lakeland; Fort Lauderdale, Melbourne and West Palm Beach under the East; and Fort Myers, Miami and Naples under the South. A separate ACEN page for the North Central ASN was not found, and the Ocala ASN does not appear on Keiser's list, so students at those campuses should ask the nursing program for the current record. The BSN: check Keiser's current wording
Keiser's bachelor's programs are the one place where its own documents do not line up. The Undergraduate Catalog, the individual program pages and the Keiser Fact Book each describe BSN accreditation in different terms, so this page makes no accreditation statement for any BSN track.
If you are in the RN to BSN or a campus-based Accelerated, FastTrack or Traditional BSN, read the accreditation section of Keiser's current Undergraduate Catalog alongside Keiser's accreditation listing for nursing, and ask your program office to confirm which wording is current. Take the answer from Keiser in writing, and keep a copy with your program records.

Accreditation and state approval are separate questions
A program's accreditation says nothing, on its own, about where you may do clinicals. Florida's Board of Nursing approves prelicensure programs under section 464.019 of the Florida Statutes and does not approve graduate APRN programs. Its education page adds that the Board is not authorized to conduct site visits and refers program complaints to the Commission for Independent Education.
Keiser is a SARA member, and the Graduate Catalog notes that SARA has no effect on state professional licensure requirements. Each state sets its own rules for programs based elsewhere, and Keiser publishes licensure disclosures showing where the FNP meets or does not meet educational requirements. Questions Keiser students ask
Is the Keiser FNP program CCNE-accredited?
Yes, through Keiser's master's nursing program. CCNE's Florida directory lists that program, which covers the MSN tracks, with its current term running to June 30, 2028, and Keiser's 2026-27 Graduate Catalog describes the MSN FNP as CCNE-accredited. CCNE's next on-site visit is set for Fall 2027, so recheck the directory after that review.
Who accredits Keiser University as an institution?
SACSCOC. Its institution record lists Keiser as accredited at Degree Level VI, and the Graduate Catalog confirms Keiser may award degrees from the associate through the doctorate. Accreditation was first granted in 1991, and distance education approved in 2000. A reaffirmation is in progress, with the committee stage listed for 2027.
Is Keiser's WHNP accredited separately from the FNP?
CCNE accredits Keiser's master's nursing program as a whole, and that record covers the MSN tracks, the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner included. There is no separate CCNE entry for each track. The dates are the same as for the FNP: a term to June 30, 2028 and an on-site visit in Fall 2027.
Where can I check Keiser's accreditation myself?
Use the accreditors' own directories: SACSCOC's institution search, CCNE's directory filtered to Florida, and ACEN's program pages for each Keiser division. The accreditation section of Keiser's current Graduate or Undergraduate Catalog gives Keiser's own statement. For the BSN, rely on Keiser's current accreditation listing and your program office.
Does accreditation decide which states I can do clinicals in?
No. Accreditation covers the program's quality; where you can train depends on Keiser's licensure disclosures, the Graduate School's state list and each state's own rules for programs based elsewhere. Settle the state question with your Clinical Coordinator before you commit to a site across a state line.
